Trintech’s Last Mile of Finance Blog is maintained by a team of financial professionals with a singular focus on helping bring the Office of Finance into the twenty-first century. Contributors identify and comment on interesting and topical developments in the software technologies, processes, and strategies employed by financial departments to reduce risk, maximize profits, and attain and sustain competitive advantage in an increasingly connected global economy.

David Taylor – Vice President, Strategy
David brings a wealth of knowledge from the Office of Finance to Trintech, from Finance and Accounting operations, including the Financial Close and Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as Mergers and Acquisitions. David is responsible for Strategic Planning, Corporate Business Development, Quality, Process Improvement and Product Strategy. David is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), and an International Associate of the AICPA. He is also a member of the Dallas Chapter of FEI (Financial Executives International). He studied at Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland, and the University of Texas Dallas, holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and an MBA in Global Leadership. David regularly contributes to the Accounting Community serving on the Research Advisory Panel with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), and the Committee on Finance and IT (CFIT) at Financial Executives International (FEI).

Theresa Clark – Vice President, Finance Transformation
As Vice President, Finance Transformation, Theresa has deep experience in finance transformation and compliance. Prior to her role at Trintech she led Finance Transformation at Movaris, where she was engaged to help manage the SOX implementation effort at Calpine Corporation. Theresa has been a Managing Director at BearingPoint and was a National Director of Andersen, LLP where she led projects in finance transformation, financial close improvement and post merger integration for large clients. Theresa has BBA in Accounting from Gonzaga University. She is a CPA, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.

Chethan Gorur – Director, Interactive Data
Chethan leads the XBRL product team at Trintech. He leads the product strategy and execution of Unity Xtensible Financial Reporting (XFR) product line (which includes support for financial reporting and embedding XBRL tagging). Prior to his current role at Trintech, Chethan was a key member of the XBRL leadership team at Microsoft where he was instrumental in crafting and executing on the XBRL product strategy. Chethan led the technical team responsible for Microsoft’s XBRL filings in addition to incubating a new Cloud-based XBRL product line. He has held product leadership positions at i2 technologies, IBM, and One Network. Chethan currently serves as Chairman of the XBRL International Standards Board as well.

Dave Tomlinson – Director, Marketing
As Director of Marketing at Trintech, Dave Tomlinson is responsible for evangelizing the Trintech value proposition to potential customers in the Office of Finance. Dave has a background in product management and database marketing, and currently serves on the XBRL US Communications and Membership Steering Committee.
