Challenges

Calor Gas managed reconciliation processes manually, matching Excel spreadsheets (cash, cheques, credit and debit card data) to banking entries. The reconciliation process provided no real visibility into daily store activities; therefore, tracking funds was time-consuming. Additionally, the process was prone to a significant number of queries which were difficult to resolve given the delay in raising them. Inefficient reconciliation processes resulted in higher staff cost and delays in obtaining accurate closing balances.
