Multiple Levels of Security

On-Demand Solutions are maintained in a highly secure access environment. Different levels of security protect all Trintech systems from being compromised.

• Encrypted HTTPS and SFTP connectivity using SSL between the client and the Trintech ASP environment.
• Internet firewall to prevent unauthorized access. Security rules are configured to only allow access from the Internet on specific ports to a specific system located in the Internet-facing DMZ environment.
• Application layer gateway further deters Internet hacking methods. The application layer gateway acts like a firewall, except that it provides a higher level of security on TCP layer 7.
• Web server architecture protects clients’ information, applications and databases. Front-end servers do not store database and confidential information. Information is stored on a second set of servers that are located in a secure LAN inside the Trintech web farm.
• Antivirus protection is installed on all servers. Antiviral software is updated regularly with the latest DAT files.
• All systems are kept up-to-date with the latest Microsoft-critical security patches.

Security Assurance

Trintech keeps up with the latest security trends through the alert and monitoring services of Secunia. Secunia monitors all new vulnerabilities, security issues and virus activity. When an issue is identified, Secunia sends email/SMS alerts to the Trintech Security Officer who then determines if any Trintech systems are at risk. If a risk is identified, it is quickly mitigated, and steps are taken to ensure that all systems are risk free.

Disaster Recovery

Through our hosting partner, Rackspace, we make sure that your business is prepared for any crisis. Rackspace has implemented numerous security procedures and auditing processes to ensure that your data is secure at all times.

Each day your data is backed up and stored on media in a tape library. These backups are stored in a separate caged area in a remote area of the data center facility. After a week, the retention tapes are moved off-site for a period of four weeks. Rackspace has the infrastructure to recreate existing capabilities – so that you’ll always have the ability to conduct business in times of emergency.
