Trintech Assembles and Donates 100 Spring Baskets for Neglected Children

Blog post

As part of Trintech’s continued efforts to help the communities we’re a part of across the globe, employees in Dallas worked together to fundraise for, assemble and donate 100 spring baskets to abused and neglected children in the Dallas area.

The project was done in partnership with Community Partners of Dallas, an organization that works to “ensure safety, restore dignity and inspire hope for the abused and neglected children served by Dallas County Child Protective Services.” According to their 2016 Fact Sheet, CPD serves more than 20,000 children annually between the ages of 0 and 17.

“Sadly, each day in our community, 16 children are confirmed as abused or neglected,” Corporate Relations Director at Community Partners of Dallas Corinne Karp said in a thank you note. “The need for support is great, and [Trintech] reached out. We thank you and we promise you that your generosity will make a tremendous difference.”

Trintechers helped fill baskets with candy, activities and other goodies in an assembly line of happy volunteers. Among those was Customer Success Analyst Erin Peebles, who said she likes working at a company that makes giving back a priority.

“Trintech really values community service and it’s great to work at a place that inspires its employees to help out their community anyway they can, whether it’s raising money for donations or donating their time,” Peebles said.

This spring basket drive was another in a growing list of community service efforts undertaken by Trintechers around the globe. Trintechers at our Owings Mill office recently volunteered at Junior Achievement’s BizTown in March, which hosted Lillie May Carroll Jackson Charter School as they learned about how to conduct everyday business skills, and the realities of how careers, money, and business ownership works. Junior Achievement’s experiences are proven to give students the edge in college completion, career readiness, earning potential and business start-up.

Built on a culture of giving back, Trintechers are given paid time off dedicated to volunteering efforts and are constantly encouraged to participate in community service efforts, like visits to My Possibilities, donating to a holiday can drive or even aiding in disaster relief.
