2020 was a year of change for many organizations across the world, but one thing that did not change was Trintech’s mission to continue to support those in need this holiday season. In lieu of our annual customer holiday gifts, Trintech decided to switch things up this year and partner with our customers to select charities in need of support and donations. After numerous submissions from our customers and employees, we are proud to announce our donation to three amazing organizations – American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and Doctors Without Borders.

American Red Cross founded in 1881, is an organization dedicated to serving people in need. Tasked by the federal government, the American Red Cross offers services to the members of the American armed forces and their families, as well as provides disaster relief in the United States and around the world. Their network of generous donors, volunteers and employees share a mission of preventing and relieving suffering here at home and around the world. Donations and support allow American Red Cross to teach life-saving skills so communities can be better prepared when the need arises.

Doctors Without Borders, founded by a group of young doctors in 1968, provides lifesaving medical care to those in need. This organization is an independent, global movement providing medical aid where it’s needed most. Their teams work in conflict zones— after natural disasters, during epidemics, and in long-term care settings— to provide medical care through different types of projects every year.  Due to the support of donors, Doctors Without Borders is able to maintain financial and operational independence, which allows them to provide urgent medical care to hundreds of thousands of people affected by war, starvation, and disease in more than 60 countries around the world each year.

The Salvation Army, originally established in London in 1865, is one of the world’s largest faith-based charities. This organization provides different programs and services that range from sheltering and feeding the homeless, to rebuilding communities after natural distresses. Donations and support enable their mission to help provide comfort to the sick and elderly, begin after-school programs for young individuals, and respond to the overall needs in every community with practical help.
